The Rancho Los Amigos Recuperative Care Campus redefines healing environments through a site-sensitive architectural approach that harmonizes with nature.

The master plan organizes a central clinic-like Recuperative Care Center and five Residential Treatment Program buildings around landscaped courtyards, fostering connection and tranquility. Low-rise structures with generous overhangs, natural ventilation, and expansive glazing blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces, maximizing daylight and views of lush gardens. Walking paths, communal gathering areas, and shaded patios encourage movement and social interaction. Inspired by the site’s agricultural heritage, the design emphasizes accessibility, dignity, and holistic wellness, creating an environment that supports recovery and stability.
